Season 3

Episode 16 - 12/21/2001 A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas

Peter Griffin goes Christmas shopping at the local mall and stops to watch TV though the window of a Ham radio store. What's extra fun about this scene is that the store was established the same year the Communications Act of 1934 was established.

I know he thought about it!

Season 6

Episode 7 - 11/25/2007 Peter's Daughter

While Brian and Stewie are working on a wrecked house, they communicate back and forth through the use of their Icom handheld radios.

Stewie finds it funny that he got the dual bander and Brian didn't.
Brian starts getting mad over the fact that Stewie has more frequencies than him.

Season 8

Episode 6 - 11/15/09 Quagmire's Baby

"Hey Quagmire, I think I might want to buy this ham radio off of you."
"Peter you've been fiddling with that ham radio for seven weeks. Take a shower!"

Peter is telling his family that all he can pick up is, "British guys reading news from places I'm not sure exist." Then we hear about 30 seconds of radio transmission seemingly making fun of the British. Ending the broadcast we hear, "At the tone, the time will be 26 railroad." BEEP

"I can barely get any reception on this stupid thing." "You know dad, I saw that movie White Noise and they said you can use empty radio static to talk to dead people." "You idiot, ghosts don't exist. Wait a second, they might!"
"Hello ghosts. Come in ghosts."
Radio: "Hello."
Peter: "Hello. Who is this?"
Radio: "Ronald Reagan."

"Wait a second, this isn't Ronald Reagan, it's Rich Little the impressionist. He must be on his old ham radio."
"The kids say ya got to go viral to promote yourself these days."
